Athens County Food Pantry
The Athens County Food Pantry exists to provide supplemental and/or emergency food assistance to eligible Athens County residents who find themselves in need.
Member Agency of the United Appeal for Athens County
The Athens County Food Pantry is a not-for-profit organization that has NO PAID EMPLOYEES. Our dedicated group of over 40 volunteers comes together to handle the numerous tasks required to operate the Pantry and to make sure that food is always available for people in need. We depend on support from the local community, through individual and group donations, fundraisers, grants and United Appeal for Athens County. We thank our community, our churches, and United Appeal for supporting our mission.

In December the Athens Community--our churches, O.U. & civic organizations, merchants, individual donors--gave generously to our pantry (even a holiday concert and local theater matinees).
Thank you all for your 2014 support as well as stepping up your giving in December so those in need would have a good Christmas!
Special thanks to the support we receive through the United Appeal for Athens County.
This past year we received grant funds from the Bounty on the Bricks event; this grant was matched by the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation of Nelsonville and the Sisters of St. Joseph Charitable Fund.
Happy New Year, and with your continued support, we will continue providing emergency food assistance as we have for the past 33 yrs.
